About Somebody's Mother Chocolate Sauce

Somebody's Mother aka Lynn LasherSomebody's Mother, the brawn if not the brains behind Somebody's Mother's Chocolate Sauce, has two passions: children and chocolate.

When Somebody's Mother's three children were little, Somebody's Mother hoped that their summer lemonade stands, which focused on advertising, cash flow and customer service, in addition to flipping quarters, would awaken in them an interest in business so that one day they might actually support themselves.

In April 2005, Somebody's Mother and her children launched a company in order to produce and sell a really great chocolate sauce (made often over the years at home by Somebody's Mother's Mother) which can be eaten warm over ice cream, at room temperature fastened to fruit, or cold straight out of the jar. What began as a grown up lemonade standSomebody's Mother's three children: Reese, William, and Hayden Lasher has become a nearly booming business.

The sauce has no preservatives and Somebody's Mother has no current plans to infuse it with hibiscus or oil it with lavender. It's just a plain, no-nonsense chocolate sauce that everybody seems to like. Even chocolate haters like it. Somebody's Mother hopes you, too, will like it and buy it in great quantities so she can keep the children clothed and fed. For a little while longer.

Somebody's Mother's Book

Some years ago, before I started the chocolate business, the children asked if I would write down some of my thoughts about parenting. I'm pretty sure they wanted a written record to show their therapists. At the time, one of my peripatetic investment banker friends wanted email updates from home as she traveled the world so I pounded out a few chapters in between sending and receiving emails to and from Asia; it was February in Houston and there was only rain so both activities passed the time. As you will see, it's still a work in progress. Feel free to send me your own thoughts for future chapters. As Bon Qui Qui says, "We can do it your way, but don't get crazy."
